Logo Use Policy
The logo is the property of the NCQLP.
General Prohibitions
- The NCQLP name and logo may not be used in any organization’s name or logo, product name or logo, service name or logo, website title or domain name, or social media account name, handle, or profile imagery.
- The NCQLP name and logo may never be used in any manner that would imply NCQLP endorsement or approval of an organization, its products, or its services.
- The logo may never be associated with products or services that are not approved by NCQLP.
- The logo may not be used in a manner that would disparage NCQLP or any other entity.
Alterations
The logo may not be altered, rotated, cut apart, or otherwise distorted. The logo may be resized, but the proportions must be maintained.
Specifically:
- Don’t change the colors of the logo.
- Don’t alter the logo’s proportions.
- Don’t add effects.
- Don’t rotate the logo.
- Don’t use outdated versions of the logo.
- Don’t add text within the logo’s clear space area.
- Don’t place the logo on backgrounds that reduce its visibility.
- Don’t delete or rearrange any elements of the logo.
Use of the NCQLP Name and Logo
The NCQLP name should always appear in all capital letters with a registration symbol as follows: NCQLP®
- The registration symbol ® must be used the first time “NCQLP” appears in a document or webpage, and should be repeated for each chapter title or new webpage.
- The ® symbol should always be in superscript.
- There should be no space between “NCQLP” and the ® symbol
Individual members may use the logo on business cards while the individual is an active LC. Additional uses require approval of the NCQLP Board of Directors or Executive Director.
- Attribute NCQLP when sharing its content, visuals, and other materials. Tag NCQLP’s social media accounts where applicable.
- Do not use NCQLP hashtags or conversation links in association with products or services not approved by NCQLP, and do not use the logo on any type of product packaging.
- Do not use “NCQLP” to create a page identity, group, handle, or URL without explicit permission.
- Do not use defamatory language in association with NCQLP.
- Do not submit NCQLP’s copyrighted or other proprietary material in any form without clear permission.
Authorized Use
With the sole exception of active individual members and supporting organizations or companies, no organization or person shall be permitted to use reproductions of the logo without authorization of the NCQLP Board of Directors or Executive Director, and then only within the limits of such authorization.
- Sponsoring organizations or companies (as defined below) may use the “NCQLP Sponsor” logo under the following conditions:
- Sponsors may not use the logo to state or to imply that the NCQLP has endorsed their company or their company’s product(s).
- Sponsors agree not to place the logo upon their
- Sponsors will indemnify and hold the NCQLP harmless for any dangers, including attorney’s fees, incurred by the Council as a result of the sponsor’s use of the respective logo.
- Sponsors agree to cease using the NCQLP’s logo upon the request of the NCQLP Board of Directors or Executive
- Sponsors agree to pay to the association all costs and attorney ’s fees incurred by the Council in any action against the supporter to enforce the terms of this license
An NCQLP Sponsor is defined as an organization or company that makes a donation to NCQLP, either cash or in-kind contributions, to support its mission and operations.
An NCQLP Supporter is defined as any entity that has supported its employee(s) to attain and maintain their LC credential. Supporting organizations or companies may use the “NCQLP Supporter” logo under the same conditions as stated above. “Support” is defined as paying for professional development (LEU) fees, LC exam fees, or LC renewal fees; additionally, companies that do not require employees to use vacation time in their pursuit of LC certification would also be considered a Supporting Organization.
Enforcement
Misuse of the logo, by any party, is subject to disciplinary action as determined by the NCQLP Board of Directors. NCQLP reserves the right to take legal action to protect its intellectual property.
